Money
The unit of currency in Zambia is the Kwacha. The largest denomination note is K10,000, followed by K5,000; K1,000; K500; K200, K100 and K50. I Kwacha = 100 Ngwee.
Major credit cards are accepted in most hotels, lodges and restaurants. However elsewhere you will find it difficult to pay by card and, as there are few banks in rural areas, you should carry US$ in small denomination notes.
Entrance to game reserves is payable in Kwacha.
